Matthew 11:30
We are all tied to something. We may be tied down to our problems, fears, or ambitions. Jesus offers us to be tied up with God which is easy and light.
When we attach ourselves to earthly concerns we are overcome with stress. Our focus is on trying to please the unreachable. Why do we spend so much energy on things that do not fulfill?
Jesus tells us to concern ourselves with God. Rather than being stuck in place sinking further down in our worries, why not link ourselves to that which is divine.
But we need to let down our current yoke and learn about God’s way. We need to let Jesus guide us through life with Jesus as our lead and not tied down to the earth.
What is stressing us today? How can we shift our concerns towards God? What has Jesus taught that can reshape how we are approaching our day? Let us take up Jesus’ yoke put everything else down.
Are we letting our problems overcome how we approach Jesus in prayer?
Are we stumbling in following after Jesus with our crosses?
