Matthew 14:31
Peter walked towards Jesus and along the way sank into danger. But Jesus immediately catches Peter and brings him up. So goes for all followers of Jesus.
When we have our eyes set on Jesus we may find ourselves in trouble. We may have our faith waver but Jesus never leaves anyone who walks after God. When we walk after Jesus, Jesus walks with us.
Jesus doesn’t prevent the strong winds but instead walks with us past them. It’s on us who either let fear consume us or let our faith in Jesus grow stronger despite the storms. Whichever occurs we must remain on God’s path with our eyes set on Jesus.
Have we picked up our cross today and followed Jesus? Are there problems we encounter by following God’s path? Are we letting those fear consume us? Are we continuing forward or in challenging times calling out to Jesus? Jesus is the path and the life.
Are we letting our problems overcome how we approach Jesus in prayer?
Are we letting our problems dominate our hope in God’s joy?
