Luke 6:11
We are either for God or against God. Working towards joining Jesus or trying to disassemble Jesus’ work. Jesus did bring unity with the scribes and the Pharisees but it was in opposition to God’s work.
So it goes with us as well. We are either coming together to tear down God’s work or coming together to build God’s kingdom. We may not even realize we are working against God and think we are doing right. A way to know is to see if we are against the blessings of others.
A man received God’s blessings and had his hand healed. In a sense, this is what angered Jesus’ opponents. They could not be thankful for someone else receiving a blessing. They could not see God in someone else so they plotted to stop it from continuing.
Can we be happy for others receiving God’s blessings? Can we see God working through others? When we can, we will be able to love God more who is always around us. Let us stop attacking the gifts others have received and instead rejoice in God touching other people’s lives.
Are we truly ready to welcome Jesus when he appears to us in our daily lives?
How can we be blessed if we reject God’s gift of Jesus Christ?

Questioning our understanding of Jesus as Christ/Messiah
Not many Christians are leaving their homes to do God's work abroad but Anita and Curt Klueg did, even as a family with children. In this interview they share their experience as Christian missioners abroad through programs like the Maryknoll Lay Missioners. They highlight the challenges of work and raising a family as well as the benefits of immersing themselves in the Kenyan culture. Now back in the US, they speak on how transformed the entire household remains in their personal and professional life to this very day.
