Nehemiah 8:10
There is joy in God. There is strength in God. Seeing God present in our lives regardless of our problems puts things into rightful perspective. God who is creator and ruler of everything will prevail with peace, mercy, and love. Having this knowledge is powerful.
Being sad is part of the emotions we as humans experience. We feel pain and are hurt throughout our lives. But God is eternal. Those experiences aren’t. And when we realize that God can deliver us from such evils then we must hold on to Jesus to liberate us.
Once we see how grand God is, how God has proven before that God brings forth good from suffering, then we are empowered to move beyond our current problems. We are given the strength to rely on Jesus to lift us up and do not remain in fear and doubt. By clinging to God we already have been saved.
Let us continually practice relying on God. Let us increase our prayer, praise, and worship of God so that when times are challenging we never lose our strength to overcome our problems. And when times seem difficult let us increase our prayer and focus on God. For nothing else can truly solve our problems. Only God who is above all pain and suffering.
Are we letting our problems dominate our hope in God’s joy?
Are we allowing God to lift us up past our troubles and suffering?
