Matthew 11:20
God had arrived in Jesus to certain towns. And God’s presence produced mighty deeds so that people might realize God had arrived and return to the Lord. But they did not.
People may have seen Jesus just as another human but Jesus performed his deeds so that they could see God present. Are we also missing seeing the divine in our lives when God is being revealed? It may be in an act of kindness, an answered prayer, or in our neighbors. We may not be looking with our hearts.
Are we also not responding to the divine in our lives? When we experience God are we letting it transform us? To let go of our past ways and turn to God. God came to Earth to walk with us. That should mean something.
Let us think about how we are letting God change us. Are we still holding on to our past habits? Is Jesus reproaching us through scripture for not repenting after all Jesus has done in our lives? Let this verse change us today and lead us to repentance.
Are we following God speaking to us through people or just a person who lacks God?
Are we lying to ourselves that we have no sin and refusing to repent?

Questioning our understanding of Jesus as Christ/Messiah
Not many Christians are leaving their homes to do God's work abroad but Anita and Curt Klueg did, even as a family with children. In this interview they share their experience as Christian missioners abroad through programs like the Maryknoll Lay Missioners. They highlight the challenges of work and raising a family as well as the benefits of immersing themselves in the Kenyan culture. Now back in the US, they speak on how transformed the entire household remains in their personal and professional life to this very day.
