Exodus 33:7
God has always been with us. It is us who move away from God. Yet, God still pursues after us and is ready to receive us back.
In the time of Moses, God walked and was present along with the Israelites from Egypt through the desert. God was present in a tent, which would then be a temple, and be ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
People had the gift of consulting with a God who was encamped right next to them. What privilege it is to have the Almighty so close and personal. How much closer is God then now that God became human?
Are we taking advantage of how close God is to us through Jesus? Do we constantly consult with Jesus on our every need, fear, and problems? Let us try to bring our all to Christ. With God so near we have all we need.
