1 Thessalonians 1:2
We thank God the Father. We thank Jesus. We thank the Holy Spirit. But are we also thankful for the rest of God’s community? Our sisters and brothers in Christ? Do we stay praying for God’s Church?
The Triune God invites us all to be in communion with God. God wishes us all to be gathered back to God. So are we rejoicing when we see others walking God’s path along with us?
We all struggle to carry our crosses after Jesus, so we need to encourage one another to stay the course. And we need to bring them in our prayers to God too. Help where we can and where we can’t present God our problems.
Who have we not noticed in our church that we should be thankful for? Can we see how they contributed to our spiritual growth? Let us begin to thank them in our prayers today. And can we see what we can do for them?
Are we setting ourselvs apart and being Holy for God?
When we pray, are we allowing time to glorify God instead of just asking for things?
