In Unity with God

Scripture Reflections for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Year C, Lectionary 166

The mystery of the Holy Trinity is an invitation to enter into a relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When we enter into communion with God our mission is to spread this bond with the world. When we remain with God, God can remain with us until the end of age.

“It is so painful to see how a doctrine of self-giving love and radical interdependence could be used to dehumanize. Even between Christians...sowing seeds of disconnection and self-doubt. But do you really understand the Trinity and who can say, 'yes'? Here's the thing, it's a mystery.”

Lynn Cooper (June 06, 2019)

“Why do we invest much in trying to understand God? This is important because we are created in the image and likeness of God and so the more we understand about God, the more we know about God, the more we realize who we are supposed to be as Christians.”
