Year C, Lectionary 102
God's mission is to reunite us back to God. Jesus calls us to come into unity with him to then be able to be sent and bring others to him. Although we may be suffering, God is there to heal us and be lifted up in into his reign. If we truly understand this and cooperate with God, we truly rejoice at the good news.

“Peacemaking across thresholds takes dialogue, and listening, waiting, trial and error, and sometimes dusting off our feet and moving on”
“God's mission is not reserved for those who are never rejected but for those who are not afraid of rejection”
“Did Jesus know that he was setting up a hierarchy of priestly groups with symbolic numbers that echo the Exodus from Egypt? I think so, I don't think that's a coincidence.”
“If you want to conquer bodies, physical bodies, then you go in with might and power and strength. You go in like a wolf. But if you want to conquer hearts you must go in as a lamb, with a gentle heart and a bit vulnerable.”
“the harvest is ready, there are many people that Jesus wants to reach today. He needs you and he needs me for the job. Will you be an obstacle or will you be a channel?”
“We can listen for God's uplifting voice, seek the reassurance of God's presence, and rest in God's caring, compassionate gaze before returning back to mission”
“Today we are called to follow a very clear plan of being Jesus' disciples with the promise that our God will comfort us like his children and...we will rejoice as his followers and as his church”
“the image of God as mother offers something in addition to tenderness and compassion. It offers the hope that something new can and will be born into the world, a 'new creation' as Paul writes in his letter to the Galatians.”
“The connection I found for this Sunday's readings is that all that matters is for humanity to be connected to God”
